Mat Stokes I hadn’t had even a little bit of drive to leave the house since I came back from Fest almost a week prior. I was over music and over being around people. But I had committed to this show the moment that it was announced and I didn’t want to let Mat down. Plus, seeing Laura Jane Grace and the Devouring Mothers perform their new album live ALMOST was enough to pique my interest. Finding out that it was Laura Jane’s birthday was enough to seal the deal. So on November 8th, I pulled myself up and off of the couch and down to the amazing industrial district (or what’s left of it thanks to mega compound in the works, Lincoln Yards) and into The Hideout to celebrate Laura’s birthday with a room full of strangers.
