Royal Blood with Bad Nerves in Chicago, IL

Love is killing me, trying to figure it out" -Royal Blood

I had been familiar with Royal Blood in high school and loved their sound. They are a perfect mix of The White Stripes and The Black Keys. Their sound is also very unique and full of blustering energy. The duo started as eager teenagers and now they play sold out shows. I had a feeling this show would be a blast.

The show started around 7pm on a calm but cool evening. The night began with a British punk looking band entering the room. They are called Bad Nerves, a five-piece Rock band from Essex. The lead singer wore sunglasses and a black velvet jacket. The other members of the band were dressed perfectly for the occasion. They were full of energy and were very interactive with the crowd. Mosh pits formed and there were people screaming the words to their favorite songs. The performance overall was very entertaining and exciting to capture.

While waiting for Royal Blood to come on, the room filled with fog and eager individuals. The two casually dressed  band members entered the room with excitement plastered across their faces. The crowd instantly filled with cheer. About halfway through the first song a mosh pit had already formed. I was shocked to see how interactive the two were during their show. I also noticed returning hardcore fans dancing and singing along. It was an amazing atmosphere to witness.
