The night of February 26th began with L.I.F.T taking the stage of The Metro in Chicago and warming up the crowd. The band has their own unique sound giving off Lil Peep vibes mixed with a pop punk feeling. They kept the audience interested and energized throughout their set. Following them was the band Super Whatevr. The Southern California based act had many supporters in the crowd; someone even printed out yellow hearts to hold over flashlights they brought out when they band played a heartfelt song for a loved one who passed. You couldn’t help but feel for him as he poured his heart into the song. The room was filled with a yellow glow, a reminder that there is hope.
Gracing the stage next was With Confidence all the way from Australia. They always put on a memorable performance and keep the crowd engaged. The band filled the short amount of time they had with the crowd with ecstatic energy, prepping the crowd for Set It Off and filling the room with excitement. Before Set It Off took the stage, they had a timer counting down the minutes minutes before the show officially started, building everyone’s anticipation. As the timer hit ten seconds, the crowd began to count down together, filling the room with even more excitement. The timer hit zero and the band members ran out. The lead singer, Cody Carson, took to the stage rocking his blue hair with the biggest smile plastered on his face, ready to share his passion with his supporters and to give an overall amazing experience.
