From the minute I walked into the Orpheum’s showroom in Madison, WI, I knew it was going to be such a chill set. The warm lighting and acoustic vibes really set the mood for the show and created the perfect atmosphere for what was to come.
Cassandra Coleman opened the night with a captivating performance that immediately drew everyone in. Her vocals and heartfelt lyrics filled the space with warmth and emotion. Each song carried a sense of vulnerability and depth that effortlessly held everyone’s attention.
When Young the Giant took the stage, their dynamic seamlessly continued the built vibes of the set. Their stripped-down, acoustic approach gave familiar songs like “Cough Syrup” and “Apartment” a refreshing new intimacy. Sameers vocals were soulful and perfectly supported by the band’s tight musicianship and easy chemistry.
The lighting and production added to the atmosphere without overpowering the music. Everything felt intentional, calm, and beautifully in sync. The crowd was completely immersed, singing along softly and swaying to every beat. Together, Cassandra Coleman and Young the Giant created a night that was both soothing and unforgettable.
