Welcome to the first episode of the Question The Answers Podcast! For our inaugural episode, I met up with Mike Sosinski, the owner of Bad Time Records and guitarist/singer of Kill Lincoln, to find out a bit more about what’s been going on with both and to discuss the state of Ska music today. We talk about our mutual admiration of the mighty Fishbone, spend some time on the importance of having a ‘family’ feel to your roster, and he shares his top 5 desert island albums with me.
Kill Lincoln have a brand new album out, Can’t Complain, their first full length in 7 years!! The band has been lighting up audiences across the country and have made the trek to Japan, bringing their rawkus Ska-Punk sounds to admiring crowds there.
Bad Time Records has had a banner year, having released new offerings from Oakland, CA’s Omnigone, Philadelphia, PA’s Catbite, Lansing, MI’s Grey Matter, a split between Stuck Lucky & Still Alive, and of course, Kill Lincoln’s new album. Be sure to hit them up for all of your worldly ska-punk desires.
Be sure to follow Bad Time Records on all social platforms, and check out their offerings at their website (links provided in the tags located at the bottom of the page).
Question The Answers Podcast is hosted by Andy Pohl, who is the founder of Sell The Heart Records and the guitar player for Tsunami Bomb. Every week we will be presenting a brand new episode featuring an individual that has made a contribution to the independent music scene in some way. Check back here on Wednesdays for a premiere of each episode, and you’ll also be able to find us on Spotify, Apple Music, and other audio podcast streaming services in the days following the initial premiere.
