Mat Stokes Bad Copy’s infamous BAD LIBS are back for another year of Riot Fest! Our Bad Copy team spent the music-packed weekend running rampant all over Douglas Park in Chicago watching bands and then sprinting back to the Press Area for beers, hard seltzers, and round after round of one of our favorite childhood games. We felt like last year, while fun and hilarious, was missing something. While we got to see all these amazing bands and artists read their BAD LIBS, you didn’t get the same chance. That’s why we’ve included videos this year!
There’s a lot of time spent emailing and planning these interviews. We get to hang out with some of the biggest names in alternative music. But there are other times where we see someone in the Press Area and we know we just have to ask them to join in the fun. We saw Dan Ozzi (aka Jaded Punk Hulk aka the co-author of Laura Jane Grace’s book Tranny) hanging out and waiting for his next interview. So we ran up and conducted our first ambush BAD LIB of 2019!
