Riot Fest 2025: Bad Libs with The Effigies

Bad Copy’s infamous BAD LIBS are back to help Riot Fest celebrate their 20th anniversary! Our Bad Copy team spent the music-packed weekend running rampant all over Douglass Park in Chicago watching bands and then sprinting back to the Press Area for round after round of one of our favorite nostalgic games!

For those not in the know The Effigies were a pillar of the punk scene in Chicago in the ’80s. They broke up in 1990s, and have reformed over the years to play a handful of tours and shows and have been going strong since 2024. The band will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of their album Fly On A Wire later this month. We were so stoked that they agreed to meet up with us in the Press area for a silly round of BAD LIBS!
