Bad Copy’s infamous BAD LIBS are back to help Riot Fest celebrate another year of reunions, releases, and rain! Our Bad Copy team spent the music-packed mud-filled weekend running (walking carefully and sloppily) rampant all over Douglass Park in Chicago watching bands and then sprinting back to the Press Area for round after round of one of our favorite nostalgic games!
We’re never quite sure how Bad Libs will fair with international bands. But we’re always so stoked when they’re willing to play along. Yard Act, from Leeds, shared that they were familiar with concept and that they have something similar in their country, but it had a different name. I am kicking myself for not writing down what they said that was. After a quick Googling, the best I could find is a UK-based game called Story Cubes where you roll some dice to help fill in the blanks. I’m not 100% sure that’s right, but the idea of Mad Libs across the world is making me want to do a deep dive into the subject. Either way, the guys were so fun and were cracking up the whole time!
