Riot Fest Announces Daily Lineups and Offers Single Day Ticket Options

It’s been a tough few months for one of Chicago’s most loved (and most hated on) festival. The internet has been ablaze with rumors and accusations regarding the state of Riot Fest, which is a mere week away. Everyone has been practically shitting their pants waiting for the second wave band announcements along with the daily schedules. The official Riot Fest Facebook page is filled to the brim with sassy comments and pissed off festival go-ers offering up their tickets at bottom dollar. Even Riot Fest Twitter Guy has been uncharacteristically quiet.

But with the granting of press coverage earlier this week (yes, we will see you there!), the announcements started rolling in. On Thursday, September 6th, Riot Fest announced that headliner Blink-182 was forced to cancel due to drummer Travis Barker’s health. In their place, Run the Jewels, Weezer, and Taking Back Sunday have stepped up to the plate.

Earlier in the day, the organizers behind the three day festival (which takes place September 14-16 in Chicago’s Douglas Park) announced the after shows taking place all over the city’s North side throughout the weekend. And now, they have released the daily schedules along with the option to purchase either single day or two day tickets.
