We’re premiering a brand new single from Chicago’s Blind Adam and the Federal League. The new track, entitled “Before it Gets Better,” will be featured on the band’s upcoming full-length album The Fields We Know which will be released on November 3rd via Bypolar Records. The album was produced by Pete Steinkopf of The Bouncing Souls at Little Eden Studio in Asbury Park, NJ and is the band’s third full-length LP.
Adam had the following to say about the new single:
“‘Before it Gets Better,’ to me, is a promise to all the folks that I love, especially my wife, Jessica Ever, that no matter how hard things get in this world, we will always make sure to find joy where we can, have each other’s back and sing and dance while we fight for a better world. The idea for the song was inspired by the famous Emma Goldman quote, ‘If I can’t dance, I don’t want to be part of your revolution,’ The Tom Waits song, ‘Come On Up To The House.’ Pete Steinkopf called it our ‘Jersey Song.’”
Jessica Ever is featured in the second verse, joining her brand new husband and singing, “I’ll put your hand in mine, it may not change the tide, but we’ll live a life that makes us proud.” “Before It Gets Better” also features Mark Masefield (Dave Hause and the Mermaid) on keys.
Stream the new single below and catch Blind Adam and the Federal League at Fest next week and on tour this December!
