“‘Strikes and Gutters, Ups and Downs’ is about looking around at the world every day, and just being fed up with everything. Sometimes you really realize just how screwed we all really are. Then you start feeling so hopeless and pissed off at the way you see people treating each other that you just check out. But at the same time you have your friends, your family, and you have to not be afraid to ask for help getting back up when you feel at your lowest. You have those people behind you that support you even when you don’t think there’s anyone or anything left to help keep you going. In ways it speaks to the current social conversation about mental health and knowing that it’s okay to reach out to others when you’re low or reaching out to others when they are. And it’s okay to feel the way you do, don’t be ashamed of your lows. Thanks to everyone who has supported us, we can’t wait to see everyone at FEST again this year!”
