Boston’s Little Low has announced the release of a brand new album, Sunshine Guilt, which is set to be released on May 9th via Sell The Heart Records (U.S.), Thousand Islands Records (Canada) and Waterslide Records (Japan). The band (which features members of notable acts Save Ends, No Trigger and BearTrap) produced eight brand new songs for the album, which was engineered and produced by Trevor Reilly of A Wilhelm Scream.
The band has also released the first single off the album, “Dark Beer Archives.” The song is a deeply personal one for singer Christine Atturio. About the song, Christine says:
“This song is about learning the hard way that when it comes to drinking there is a fine line between things being fun and things getting out of control. I’m always trying to find a balance in life, and it remains a constant struggle. But what I eventually realized was that at the end of the day, it’s always going to be on me. I can be my own best friend or my own worst enemy. The line ‘never kept my elbow straight for long’ was inspired by a scene in the pilot episode of Cheers where the bar owner Sam Malone explains why he lost his career as a professional baseball player due to alcoholism. ‘I had an elbow problem…. I bent it too much.’”
