Kendra Sheetz Today, we’re so stoked to be premiering a new single from LA’s Regal Beagle. The 3-piece pop punk band from the San Gabriel Valley originally formed as a way to enter a school talent show. They may not have won that day, but the band continued and has been playing since 1994.
The song is titled “I’m the Worst” and is featured on the band’s upcoming album, Take it Back, which will be released via Mom’s Basement Records. The band headed into the studio in the summer of 2022 and, with the help of Joe Queer, produced the upcoming record. Take is Back is an anthem to heartbreak and what it takes to come back from the lowest parts of live.
Band member Bryan Beagle shared the following about the new track we’re sharing today:
“‘I’m the Worst” is a song that stems from sobriety. Such as when you’re younger and use alcohol and substances to mask insecurities and other parts of yourself that you hide from the world. Then as you ‘grow-up’ and decide to sober up, you lose that crutch and go through a period of feeling like shit. You lose all motivation and often end up being a hermit.”
