Kendra Sheetz Long Beach, CA-based DIY punk collective Spider has digitally released their highly anticipated new single “Tripwire” via CPYRT CNTRL RCRDS (pronounced Copyright Control Records). The new song is part of a collection of stories projected for the listener. From a lyrical standpoint, the words are steeped in existentialism. Yet musically, the sonic message is raw and visceral. “Tripwire” was co-produced by the band and former Agent Orange member Dave Klein. This is Spider’s first new music since their 2019 EP, Energy Gone Wrong.
