Rid of Me Releases First Single “Myself” Off Debut LP

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania heavy, melodic, Noisenik Punk quartet Rid of Me has announced the release of their debut LP. The new album will be titled Travelling and it will be releases via Knife Hits Records (in digital, cassette, and CD format) and The Ghost Is Clear Records (on vinyl) on December 3rd. Travelling was recorded at The Gradewell House with Steve Poponi and The Bummer Basement with Mike McGinnis. It was also mixed by Poponi  and mastered by Dave Downham.

Additionally, the band – who is comprised of members of Fight Amp, Anxiety Spiral, Low Dose, Legendary Divorce, and Soul Glo – has also released a music video for the album’s first single, entitled “Myself.”

Guitarist/Vocalist Itarya Rosenberg had the following to say about the new video:

“‘Myself’ was filmed at our drummer Mike Howard’s place where we practice, my apartment, the streets of Kensington, and Port Richmond. We asked my brother [Seth Rosenberg], who is one of the most talented people in the world, to film/create for us. He uses this really cool analog video processor – has no idea who made it or where it is from, but found it and has put to crazy good use – and filmed on a VHS camcorder. We kind of left to interpretation to him but were interested in the treated vibe. The song itself is about depths – of loneliness, of projection of wants onto others, of fear, of needing friends, of needing oneself through and through. Knowing that self and how easily and quickly that can level and crash. Focus and acknowledgement.”
