Lansing, MI’s Rodeo Boys has released a new single entitled “All American Man” along with an accompanying music video. The track will be featured on the band’s upcoming LP, Junior, which will be released on April 26th via Don Giovanni Records.
The new album, produced by Tom May (The Menzinger) captures the quiet rebellion of a queer, blue-collar heart. Vocalist/guitarist Tiff Hannay (they/them) spends much of the record reimagining queer masculinity with a rugged softness, and a lot of that driving angst stems from their experiences in predominantly cis male spaces.
Tiff exists at such a rare crossroads—an openly queer, leftist arborist navigating the hyper-masculine world of blue-collar labor while also hunting, fishing, and farming with the kind of hands-on grit that makes them impossible to pigeonhole. That tension—between tradition and rebellion, hard labor and community care—threads through Rodeo Boys’ music, making it feel both deeply rooted and defiantly untamed.
