ALL with All My Senses & Jon Snodgrass + The Stevensons in Detroit, MI

It was another exciting night for Detroit’s punk scene. ALL hit the road for a small summer tour, and made a very rare appearance in Detroit to close it out. They were joined by another personal favorite dude of mine, Jon Snodgrass, along with All My Senses. Something extra special with this lineup was that Snodgrass was playing his set with Bill Stevenson and his son Miles, who is also a part of All My Senses. We got at least one Stevenson for each set! Another exciting part of this show (for me at least) was the one-off poster of Allroy in a Detroit Red Wings jersey, signed by all the touring bands and created by Mike Merg. I kept checking on the pile of them in the merch booth to make sure I’d be able to snag one after covering the show 😆.

Snodgrass & the Stevensons came out to kick things off the way he usually does, mixing some great banter and charm with some jams of heartfelt and fun rock songs. It was a great start to kick off the night, and then All My Senses came out next to really amp up the crowd and get the circle pits going with their more melodic emo/post-hardcore sound. It felt like a great ying/yang between the two openers, where ALL’s sound and vibe fits directly in between the charm, melodies, and chaos.

Finally it was time for Chad Price and ALL to come out and do their thing, and boy did they deliver with a stacked set list of over 25 songs. It was a little bit of everything spanning across all their albums! Chad was energized and all over the stage flailing and singing his heart out, Stephen and Karl were ripping away on guitar and bass while singing back-up vocals, and Bill Stevenson being the machine he is with lightning-fast drum fills and carrying the band through and sending the room into overdrive.

I unfortunately had to miss Buddies Fest 2 this year, which was a bummer. However, I’ve been spoiled with getting to see so much of ALL the past year as well thanks to that amazing festival. It’s not often y’all get to see ALL, so I was very happy to be a part of it again and cover such a fun time and milestone for Detroit. Also loved seeing so many young faces be a part of it. See some of the many photos below! And for those worried, I was also able to grab one of those limited Detroit posters!
