Last night I got to check another band off of my show bucket list: White Reaper. I first heard of White Reaper in 2018, and they’ve been one of my favorite bands ever since. They’re one of those bands that somehow continues to get better with age, and each record still manages to upstage the previous one. What’s even crazier is every record they’ve put out has nothing but bangers and rad songs on them. I don’t think there’s a single song on any of their records that I skip if it comes on.
Last night was also a first for me, as I’d never shot at Crescent Ballroom before. It’s hands down my favorite venue in AZ, and one of the raddest venues I’ve ever been to. I’d sold merch there a ton, but shooting a show never happened. I also got to shoot White Reaper’s set next to one of my favorite photographers, so that was also a pretty sick cherry on top of shooting such a sick lineup in an ever sicker venue.
If you haven’t listened to White Reaper before, you should. Someone I know referred to them as “poppy Thin Lizzy” and I honestly can’t think of a better description. They also just released one HELL of a record this year.
Here are some of the photos I got from the show, and don’t forget to catch White Reaper out on tour if they haven’t passed you yet:
