It’s almost that time of year again, where thousands upon thousands of black t-shirt and jorts wearing music fans will descend upon Gainesville, FL in hopes of seeing their favorite bands and drinking just enough to not remember seeing anything all. While there are hundreds of well-known names on the Fest schedule this year, we wanted to showcase a handful of the bands who are heading down to Florida and playing for the very first time. So keep reading, check out all the bands in this series, and get to know some really great under the radar talent!

How long has Riverby been a band?
Riverby has been doing shows since April of 2018!
Have you attended Fest before?
Nope, this is going to be our first time!
What are you stoked for during Fest weekend?
SO excited to meet other artists we’ve been friends with virtually, VERY excited to see The Menzingers, also excited about using a hotel pool and going to universal studios!!
What’s your best tour or epic show story?
I think one of the best stories I would have would be performing at Chris Gethard’s comedy show. It was amazing and out of this world to have the opportunity to play a Bruce Springsteen cover in front of such an awesome audience and also it opened the door for SO many opportunities for us! It was just an incredible day and I feel so lucky to have been a part of it.
Let’s say you’re booking the lineup of a festival that represents you as a band. What would the top 5 headliners be?
What does the band have coming up? What can we all look forward to from you?
After Fest, we have an awesome show in Brooklyn with Catbite and Bacchae and then December 27th, we are gonna be rocking at the Champagne Jam at the Fillmore alongside bands like Prince Daddy & the Hyena, Soul Glo, Titus Andronicus, and The Front Bottoms!!! After that, who knows!!
