Earlier this month, Phoenix AZ-based indie/punk band Ghost in the Willow has released a three-song single titled Westerberg. It is the band’s first original music released since January 2022, after releasing a string of cover songs. It is also the first music to feature new members Ryan King of bass and Zach Sealover on guitar. It was recorded at FC Studio in Tempe, AZ.
As the title of the single might suggest, lyrically, it is a tribute to The Replacements frontman Paul Westerberg.
In addition to the title track, the single includes 2 acoustic B-sides titled “Successful Friends,” which is a cover of a The Sudden Passion song, and an acoustic version of the title track.
