Kendra Sheetz Music fans… start your complaining! The lineup for Riot Fest 2025 is here! Earlier this year, the festival announced that they signed a multi year contract with the Chicago Park District which solidifies their hosting the mega festival in Douglass Park. The festival has been held there since 2015, when it moved from Humboldt Park after facing pushback in that neighborhood.
Riot Fest 2025 will be held on Friday, September 19th through Sunday the 21st. Tickets can be purchased HERE. 3 Day tickets. Single day tickets. VIP fancy tickets. They’ve got them all up for sale.
The lineup this year is impressive… but isn’t it always? The headliners include Blink-182, Green Day, and Weezer. There’s Jawbreaker and Bad Religion, Knuckle Puck, Hanson (fucking mmm bop HANSON). The Bouncing Souls and The Damned will be there along with Citizen and Microwave and The Linda Lindas. There’s the kings of Drive-Thru metal Mac Sabbath along with Cliffdiver – who I first caught wind of at Riot Fest years ago. It’s a great mix of old and new and a bunch of stuff in between. I’m sure the lineup will get a ton of shit from people; in fact, I’m sure it’s already started. But as a almost 40 year old music fanatic that came into punk in the ’90s, I’m into it.
