Kendra Sheetz London-based Burnt Tapes has announced the release of their upcoming album, New Lungs. The full-length release will be out on August 8th via Wiretap Records (US), Lockjaw Records (UK/EU) and Nasty Cut Records.
The band has released the debut single off the new album, a track entitled “MOTHERSGUILT.” The single paints a vivid picture of internal struggle, pressure, and disillusionment— dealing with themes of mental exhaustion, self-doubt, the weight of society’s expectations & the failure to meet those expectations.
Bandmember Phil G. shared the following about the new album:
“It’s been a long time since our first record, we’ve had a pandemic in between, and that kinda does things to a person. We wanted to push harder on all the good things about Never Better, but also bring some thing new to the table, and we’re excited to share this first single with everyone.”
