Kendra Sheetz This is it! Lightweight‘s final single off the third EP in a set of three. Here it is folks, “Slam Drunk.”
The Sacramento-based band has self-released two previous EPs – This One’s on Me (March 2022) and You Have To Promise (September 2022). With the release of this third and final EP, entitled The Next One’s On You, the three albums come together to form a stealth full-length which addresses the topics of modern life, modern friendships, and the ability to grow and change as a person.
Lightweight had the following to say about the new single “Slam Drunk”:
“Sometimes you have to apologize to both the people in your life and oneself, reflect on the lower points you’ve had in life and the places you’ve had them in. Sometimes you lose your self-respect. This is about coming to terms with your fuck ups and trying to be better moving forward.”
