Philadelphia has been a trusted hotbed for a lot of great artists over the years and we’re about to add another one to the pile. The Blackburns are a power-pop outfit consisting of members from local favorites Plow United and The Danger O’s. The band writes the kind of songs that used to be the backbone to great movie soundtracks and ruled the airwaves.
A year ago, The Blackburns released their self-titled debut album on Sell the Heart Records and now they’ve released a brand new single entitled “Video Den.”
Bassist/Vocalist Joel Tannenbaum shared the below:
“If you’re reading this, there’s a pretty good chance you worked some retail jobs back in the day. ‘Video Den’ is about when you clocked out of that last retail job for the last time and left that version of yourself behind. That version of you is still out there, somewhere, like a ghost.”
Stream the new single below and keep checking back for more, because The Blackburns are finishing up their sophomore album!
