A Fistful of Vinyl Releases Video of Dollar Signs Covering Operation Ivy

Photo: Kendra Sheetz

The best in the West, aka the team over at A Fistful of Vinyl, has released a brand new video of  Charlotte, NC’s Dollar Signs covering “Knowledge” by Operation Ivy. Frontman Erik Button gleefully tears through Jesse Michaels’ lyrics while the rest of the band sings along and has one hell of a lot of fun jamming on the music they grew up with. Somehow, the self-effacing sincerity meshes perfectly with the 90’s nihilistic-yet-upbeat jam and the Socratic Paradox.

Dollar Signs released This Will Haunt Me in July of 2018 via A-F Records.

Check out the video of “Knowledge” below and keep checking back for more updates from Dollar Signs and A Fistful of Vinyl!

A Fistful of Vinyl is a DIY crew of volunteers run by KXLU veteran Alec Hodgman. They create live music sessions and interviews for YouTube in Los Angles with artists in and around the punk and folk music scenes. Their coverage helps to raise notoriety of small artists who make phenomenal music but don’t have a platform to share it, and celebrate the larger artists who share that mission of supporting those up-and-coming prodigies. A Fistful of Vinyl airs on KXLU 88.9 FM/Online Thursday nights at 9pm PT.
