Kendra Sheetz Gainesville, FL’s Mike & The Nerve has released a new music video for their song “The Last Day of Summer.” The new single was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Lee Dyess at Earthsound Recording in Valdosta, GA (Against Me!, Mayday Parade, From First to Last) and the video was done by Jared Pennock and Rachael Ryals at Capture Light Media.
Frontman Mike Llerena had the following to say about the new single and video:
“‘The Last Day of Summer’ is about enjoying the best time of your life, knowing that nothing good lasts forever. Sonically, we wanted the song to be this fun, summer bop that people would enjoy singing along to, while also having the lyrics depict someone dealing with a figurative dark cloud that interrupts that sunshine.”
