The night of May 19th began with the punk band Drug Church taking the stage to warm up the crowd at Chicago’s musical landmark, The Metro. They brought the energy and excitement needed to kick off the four band billed show. Following was Trash Boat from the United Kingdom. I was familiar with them from when I saw them at Warped Tour a few years back. I had a feeling they would put on an intense show and I was right. Boston Manor opened next and played songs off their new album, Welcome To The Neighbourhood, and the crowd screamed back every word.
Finally, it was time for the band that everyone had been waiting to see. Movements opened with “The Grey” off their newest album, Feel Something. Front man Patrick Miranda held the crowd’s attention with his captivating performance throughout their set. I have seen Movements multiple times over the past couple of years and they always bring passionate people together who truly support their music, putting on an amazing show overall.
