While a bunch of music fans were out in the desert for Weekend 1 of Coachella, some music nerds got together on April 15th in Fullerton for a Punk Rock gig.
One of my favorite spots to see a show at is Programme Skate & Sound. Even though I live about 36 miles away, I know that whenever I attend a gig there, it will be a great time. Records and live music? Hell yeah!
The lineup was made up of local acts as well as artists from out of town. Kicking off the show was DIY punk rocker, Nate Funk. Following his set was Caitlin Edwards, who also fronts Chicago-based Ska/Punk band, Bumsy and The Moochers (Sell The Heart Records). The first time I saw Caitlin was at Programme and sadly right before the ‘rona changed our lives. With a full band in place, she played solo material and also covered The Donnas.
Bay area Punk Rock trio One Armed Joey followed Caitlin’s set and delivered one hell of a performance as the band played some songs off their latest album, Happiness, To Me, which they released last year via Sell The Heart Records. If you’re still in search of 2022 releases, Happiness, To Me, is an album you MUST check out. To close off the night were Rock duo, Raised On TV, who are also part of the Sell The Heart Records family!
All around, it was an awesome show with a stacked lineup in good ole Fullerton.
