Chicago – That’s the first American city where people really showed up for us.

Philly – Go Birds!

Denver – Great mixture of cowboy stuff and weed.

Taco Bell – At the Bell you can be a meat eater, a veg, or a vegan, and I switch back and forth all the time. Emmett used to hate Taco Bell but now he loves it. His hatred was unjustified; it came from a place of ignorance. We’re all glad that we could teach him this lesson and that he could grow as a person. To be fair, it is awful in Canada. Only USA Bells for us. 

Trader Joe’s – We don’t have those in Canada. The tofu rice paper wraps with peanut sauce are amazing. We usually buy a case of Joe’s red wine for the van. And, the snacks! OH Baby!

Most of Europe – They have higher food standards than North America. So if you’re used to eating garbage food in Canada and America, you can eat the exact same way over there without feeling bad. Also, my favourite foods – in order – are bread, olives, cheese, and salami (depending on my current dietary state of mind).

The first time we toured Europe we were all happy and healthy for a whole tour. That is weird. 

Our “tour manager” Jan is extremely weird. We love him. I think he likes us. We found him on tour once and he’s never left us alone since.

A guy bit me once when we were playing on a boat in Hamburg. He later tried to friend me on Facebook. I have not accepted nor declined as of yet. 

I think we all have different ones because usually the best part of tour is when you break away from the group and do something on your own like a normal human. Mine is illustrated in our ‘hit song,’ “The Polynesian,” off our new record.

We were in a weird little tourist/water park town in Wisconsin, our good friend Jimmy Chutes was hanging out with us on a weekend run to Minneapolis and back. We went to a couple bars in town and then we found an amusement park at like 3AM, climbed to the top of the roller coaster, and had some beers up there.
