Today, we’re premiering a brand new single from pop-punk/ska band Beneath You! The San Jose-based band includes Gavin and Jason Hammon of of Dance Hall Crashers on drums and guitar plus with Serge Verkhovsky of Limp and Year of the Fist on bass along with newcomer Mary Diridon on vocals. The new song, entitled “Information,” is the third single off their upcoming album General Hermitude which will be released on November 21st via Sell the Heart Records.
“Information” is about miscommunication, blame-shifting, and letting bridges burn. The slicing clean guitar verses and driving, gritty choruses explore the frustration of being told you’re holding back too much only to be ignored when you communicate.
Bassist Serge Verkhovsky shared the following:
“If you’ve ever been told you’re bad at communicating, only to be ignored and ostracized when you try to communicate, then you’re going to understand what ‘Information’ is all about. This song points out those who think that ‘good communication’ means communicating on their terms, and the negative impact that has on other people. If you’ve been on the receiving end of that, you’ll totally get ‘Information,’ and if you don’t know what the hell I’m talking about… you’re probably that guy. Also, the bridge is one of my favorite parts of the new album.”
