Kendra Sheetz Coming straight out of Harrogate, North Yorkshire, the Punk Rock four piece Calm. has undergone countless iterations over the past decade. They’ve played everything from Midwest Emo to Hardcore to Skate Punk. And now, with the release of their new EP, the band has taken all the best flavors from each phase, added some rock ‘n’ roll gnarl, and combined it to come out with a massive, anthemic brand of punk rock that is all their own.
The COVID-19 pandemic proved fertile ground for lead singer and songwriter Ash. The product are the six tracks on Dysfunctional Assumptions, the mini album which tells the story of Ash’s twenties, from the murky depths of mental illness to the nostalgic reminiscing of memories created with best friends.
Dysfunctional Assumptions was released in late October via Engineer Records (UK), Sell The Heart Records (US), supported by Shield Recordings (Eur), FIA Music Company (Bra) and Waterslide Records (Japan).
