Columbus, OH’s Good Shade will be releasing his fourth studio album this month. The LP, entitled Way Out will be released on Friday, February 15th via Dirtnap Records.
Started in 2013, Good Shade consists of one member, Shane Natalie, who composes and records all instruments and vocals on the recorded albums. However, the live performances and tours feature a variety of Columbus musicians in addition to Natalie. The band’s current touring lineup features Natalie on guitar and vocals, Patrick Matanle (Toxic Womb, Puberty Wounds) on bass guitar and Chris Mengerink (Brat Curse) on drums and vocals.
While the three previous Good Shade releases have been inspired by political and social disparities, Way Out primarily focuses on deteriorating mental health and increased social anxiety. True to Good Shade’s nature, the album features a combination of fast paced melodic Pop Punk and dark, cynical Rock n’ Roll weirdness.
Today, we’re stoked to be streaming a new song off Way Out entitled “Apnea.” Stream it below and keep checking back for more updates from Good Shade!
