Gainesville, FL’s Mike & The Nerve have released a new single entitled “Spectator at the Parade.” The new single was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Danny Clifton and Winston Goertz-Giffen at Pulp Arts in Gainesville. The cover art was done by Matty Taylor (a.k.a. Karmavoid).
Frontman Mike Llerena had the following to say about the new single:
“Treading familiar territory with our previous releases, ‘Spectator at the Parade’ takes aim at the fascist carnival sideshow unfolding in the U.S. The ‘spectator’ represents the proverbial person on the street, watching as authoritarian absurdity marches on. They’re not part of the show, but they’re forced to witness it as it unfolds around them. Ultimately, the song closes with a message of hope for a better tomorrow, whenever it may come.”
