Buffalo, NY is known for its wings, alcoholism, bad sports, and snow. But would you believe, the people there like it that way?
On The Cinder‘s new single “Smells Like American Spirit” dives down into the basement to paint a picture of house shows and the DIY ethic in a world that keeps squeezing tighter and tighter every year. “Smells Like American Spirit” is a three tiered homage to reservation cigarettes, Buffalo being one of many “All-American” cities, and the sarcastic perspective of being the last one to the bowl in the richest country in the world.
This single is the first song off On The Cinder’s third full-length album Heavy-Handed, set to release May 7th on their own DIY label Flower House Records.
