Punks in Vegas has released Vegas Strong, a charity compilation of over 100 bands of varying genres, today via Bandcamp. The digital compilation has a starting price of $5, with 100% of the money going to the UMC Foundation, which is Las Vegas’ only Level 1 Trauma Center.
While the compilation features over 100 bands, a number of punk bands sent in new, rare, and unreleased songs following the tragic event in Las Vegas on October 1st. This includes songs from The Wonder Years (a live version of “Passing Through a Screen Door”), The Menzingers (a live cover of Tom Petty’s “I Won’t Back Down”), Direct Hit! (“Blood on Your Tongue” from their upcoming split with Pears), Lemuria (“Cannonball’s To Hurt” from their Record Store Day 7”), Taking Back Sunday (Happiness Is b-side “How I Met Your Mother “), and Off With Their Heads (Laura Jane Grace cover “Harsh Realms” from the band’s flexi series).
Stream Vegas Strong below and please make sure you donate to this much needed cause.
