Kendra Sheetz Boston’s Ruin The Nite has released a new single today entitled “Sang To Me.” The new track is the first taste of the sextet’s upcoming debut album, Sound The Alarm, which will be released in November via Rum Bar Records.
The self-described “premier Dad Bod Rock Band” formed out of the ashes of Rock And Roll Rumble winners Goddamn Draculas, Ruin The Nite came together as a band designed to celebrate friendship and fun — just when we need those things the most.
Vocalist and bassist Chris Duggan had the following to say about the debut release:
“I think [‘Sang To Me’] is basically a story about lack of communication in a relationship. It’s about letting down your walls and being free to say what needs to be said. Being vulnerable to express your truth, no matter how sharp and pointed those words might be… Lyrically, the words just came. No real thought behind them. The chorus was just fun to sing.”
