In late September, Canadian punks Propagandhi released their seventh album titled Victory Lap on Epitaph Records. On November 17th, the band toured through Santa Ana, CA and played The Observatory in support of the new album and brought along two of the best bands around to open up for them!
SoCal locals Bad Cop / Bad Cop started out the night an hour early because The Observatory likes to apparently double book punk shows and change the set times last minute. That’s okay because everyone showed up for BC/BC and the ladies absolutely killed it. Everyone was having an awesome time! I always make it a point to go and see this band whenever they are within driving distance and you should too. You won’t be disappointed.
Next up were Olympia legends, and my favorite band, RVIVR! From the time they got onstage to tune their instruments and check the mics to the time they got all of their gear offstage there wasn’t a second that passed when they weren’t wearing the biggest smiles on their faces. RVIVR is a great band and they played all of the best songs from their discography that got everyone singing along.
After what felt like an hour, Propagandhi finally came out and the packed venue went crazy. Unfortunately, I left after about six songs because leaving that place at the end of a show is always a nightmare. Check out the photos below from the show!
