This week, we have a special episode where Andy and a solid crew of guests break down their favorite albums of 2020. As crazy of a year as it has been, it has been a fantastic year for music, with a grip of incredible albums being released.
Andy is joined by Kendra Sheetz (editor of Bad Copy), Rob Castellon (founder of Wiretap Records), John Gentile (feature editor of Punknews.org), three of the four members of Philadelphia Ska band Catbite, and Dominic Davi (bassist of Tsunami Bomb). Each one of them has a unique list of favorites from the year, and a lot of their picks may surprise you.
There are only a few albums that are repeated, which is really awesome and shows just how many great albums are out there. These lists are never easy to come up with, particularly when you have an eclectic taste in music. Hopefully you come across an album or seven that you may have missed while listening to the episode. What are your top albums of 2020?
To help celebrate the release of this episode, as well as the end of this dumpster fire of a year, we created a Spotify Playlist with all of the albums mentioned in these lists, which you can listen to here.
Question The Answers Podcast is hosted by Andy Pohl, who is the founder of Sell The Heart Records and the guitar player for Tsunami Bomb. Every week we will be presenting a brand new episode featuring an individual that has made a contribution to the independent music scene in some way. Check back here on Wednesdays for a premiere of each episode, and you’ll also be able to find us on Spotify, Apple Music, Stitcher and other audio podcast streaming services in the days following the initial premiere.
