Punk Rock Bowling is almost here and we wanted to do something to help celebrate one of the biggest parties in Vegas. So we fired off a lightening interview round with a number of bands who are playing this year’s famous desert festival.
We spoke with Amigo the Devil about all things Vegas. The Texas native will be playing a club show at the Citrus Roof Deck at the Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino on Friday the 24th with Pinata Protest, Bridge City Sinners, and Bradley Palermo.
In case you have been deep in hiding for the last six or so months: Punk Rock Bowling begins on Thursday, May 23rd with club shows and the main stage events begin on Saturday, the 25th. The party will continue all through the weekend into Monday, May 27th. Three days passes and single day passes are still on sale now! And a number of the club shows still have tickets available but limited, so grab your pass today!
Interview
Have you played PRB before?
What is the #1 thing you MUST do every time you’re in Vegas?
It used to be ending the night at Power Exchange but that’s closed now. Some of my favorite sushi is in Vegas, especially a few of the All You Can Eat spots. I also try to make time to get tattooed at Broken Dagger.
What bands are you most excited to see or play alongside on this year’s lineup?
I’m thrilled we get to do a club show with some of our family: The Bridge City Sinners. Beyond that, everyone on the line-up is near and dear to us in some way whether they had an influence while growing up (Killing Joke, Sick of it All, Rancid, etc.) or bands and friends that I’m glad are doing so well for themselves now.
What’s the grossest item to eat from a Vegas buffet?
The purge vomit around the toilet after the binge… even worse if it’s someone else’s… possibly better if it’s fresh enough to identify what is was…
What’s your ‘go to’ gambling game?
If your band had a bowling team, what would the team name be?
