Punk Rock Bowling is only one week away and we wanted to do something to help celebrate one of the biggest parties in Vegas. So we fired off a lightening interview round with a number of bands who are playing this year’s famous desert festival.
To get things started off right, we chatted with Nick from Direct Hit! about all things Vegas. I like to image that he responded to each of our questions while dressed in Hunter S. Thompson-esque garb, lit cigarette in hand. Direct Hit! will be playing a sold out club show at Citrus Roof Deck at the Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino on Sunday the 26th along with Nerf Herder, Go Betty Go, and The Vulturas.
In case you have been deep in hiding for the last six or so months: Punk Rock Bowling begins on Thursday, May 23rd with club shows and the mainstage events begin on Saturday, the 25th. The party will continue all through the weekend into Monday, May 27th. Three days passes and single day passes are still on sale now! Have you played PRB before?
We played last year’s Love Hope Strength show. But this will be the first official PRB club show we’ve done.
What is the #1 thing you MUST do every time you’re in Vegas?
SLEEP.
What bands are you most excited to see or play along side on this year’s lineup?
I’ve been a fan of Nerf Herder‘s since I was in high school, but never got a chance to see them live. Really excited we get to share their stage this year!
What’s the grossest item to eat from a Vegas buffet?
Shrimp. Delicious, but the quantities I put into my body start feeling like I’m eating bugs after a while.
What’s your ‘go to’ gambling game?
I gamble on how many whiskey and cokes can I put into my body without poisoning myself.
If your band had a bowling team, what would the team name be?
