Kendra Sheetz Today, we’re stoked to be premiering a new single, entitled “The Gooder News,” from Atlanta’s Seagulls. The new single will be featured on the band’s upcoming album, The Rapture and Resurgens, and will be released in 2023 via Say-10 Records.
The band had the following to say about the new single:
“The Gooder News is a celebration of my bleak outlook for humanity. I was doing a lot of reading on the christian right’s rise to power, which lead to daydreaming about those people being forcibly ceased to exist in order to save the world. Seems greatish- except the earth is already trashed and moving up the expiration date on groups of people is, to put it lightly, bad. Even the best humans are capable of extreme amounts of suckage, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun and be kind and find fulfillment as we careen into the void.”
