Wet Tropics Releases Garage Punk Ripper “Rat Shredder”

Chicago’s Wet Tropics has released a brand new single entitled “Rat Shredder.” The song is the first in a series of singles come from the Wet Tropics. It is chock full of riffs and was conceived in 2020 during the new apocalypse and realized in the summer of 2021. It could be an autobiography, an anomaly, or a snapshot into the mind of John Rejba, songwriter and leader of the project.

For 2021 and 2022, a new vision has emerged for Wet Tropics, one that involves creating singles through musical collaboration with friends and fellow musicians to shape the future of the project. Each single will be released in the classic “O” card cassette style like the ones John collected in his youth. Later in 2022 the singles will be released on vinyl as a collection.

The “Rat Shredder” cassingle is available for purchase now. Additionally, Friend Club Records is offering the first vinyl pressing of 2020’s Everybody Get In (shipping now) as well.
