I think it goes without saying that a lot of people have been waiting for live music to return. Although shows have been back for a couple of months now, some people are still hesitant to venture out to do things; not in Arizona! We’ll use any excuse to get out of the heat, even if that means into a sweaty, hot room full of friends and strangers to scream our favorite songs out and shove each other around for a few hours. This show is just what a lot of people needed. It’s also proof that people do take this time seriously. There were a lot of masks and responsible people. Hopefully people continue with that attitude so we can see more of our favorite bands again soon.
As my first time seeing Bad Cop/Bad Cop, I’ll say they were a ton of fun to watch. They kicked off their set by popping some champagne, and they even did a raffle with a vaccination card or negative test as entry. Their onstage chemistry was my favorite thing. They clearly love playing together and it shows. If ever a band looked like they were having a blast, it’s them.
Please get vaccinated and be safe so we can continue to go to shows! And please trust science and not Facebook. There’s still a lot of people taking this shit seriously, but there’s still a lot of idiots out there spreading misinformation. I hate to get preachy, but there’s a million things we wouldn’t have without science. And a lot of bands rely on tours and us fans to make their living. Without your contribution to fight this thing, there’s no telling what other privileges will be taken away from us. If you still wanna catch the band on tour, there’s still plenty of dates here! Just be safe and responsible!
