A Backyard BBQ Record Release Party

Photo: Brian Santostefano

On Saturday August 12th, Engines celebrated the release of their debut twelve song LP entitled OBSOLETE at a house show BBQ in Logan Square. OBSOLETE was released by a number of labels including Killer Tofu Records, Middle-Man Records, 4UBRO Records, Be Happy Records, and Chicago’s very own Forge Again Records.

The release party was stacked with an insane line up of local favorites such as The Brokedowns,  Grammaw, post-surf indie rock sensations Ovef Ow, L. Mounts & The Swellheads, and Atonement Theory (who just released their debut EP entitled Illumination via I DEFY Records on July 23rd). Ovef Ow will also be self-releasing their second EP, Working, at the Empty Bottle in Chicago on August 16th.

Check out the photos below and keep checking back for more reviews on these bands and so many more in the near future.
