Kendra Sheetz Today, we’re premiering a new single from Talk Me Off. The song, entitled “Counting Digits,” is the first single from the Richmond, VA-based band’s new EP Abyss. The album will be released on a 10″ via Smartpunk, Swamp Cabbage, and Gunner Records (Europe). There will also be 50 cassettes from Wallride and Smartpunk.
Band member Holly had the following to say about the new single:
“‘Counting Digits’ is me venting my frustration about diet culture and the extreme expectation that are placed on people and sometimes, more harshly on women. As someone who’s weight has fluctuated their whole life, it’s a constant battle of loving myself the way I am and hating myself because of what society expects isn’t what I fit into. I believe all bodies are different and beautiful.”
